I’m prepping  for this battle and my minds in a frenzy.

I can’t afford fear, so, I’m speaking peace in me.

I’m counting on my brothers and I know they count on me.

We’re from the home of the brave, and the land of the free.

I didn’t choose this battle, but this battle's chosen me,

And there’s a hundred other places I could probably rather be.

But this day it is here, I am here, I am present!

If this is to be the day, the enemy won’t forget it!

Lock -N- Load, toss, explode, they say that this is the road,

Less traveled, but it’s traveled.  So, maybe we can uphold

Our honor, our valor, 'cause we don’t cower or fold.

Band of Brothers, freedom lovers, believe it when you’ve been told

We're the best!  We’re the best, 'cause this is how we get home.

This is more than a mindset, this is more than a song.

This is for life, love, and liberty that makes us strong.

This is for every soldier serving in a combat zone...

It’s hard to understand what a military man or woman goes through

Until you’ve walked in their shoes

I can’t break from this mission, because it is not that easy

I’m a soldier under orders, that’s given from Washington DC

And it doesn’t really matter if I do or don’t agree

They didn’t ask for my opinion when they gave this weapon to me

But this is my rifle, there’s many like it, but this is mine

And I’m intimately familiar with it on the front line

Lock –N-Load, here we go, let’s get the show on the road

The sooner we can get this done, the sooner we can get home

But don’t think because we’re homesick we’ll abandon the fight

If we don’t see you on the field today, we’ll see you tonight

We came to get this thing done in the dark or the light

We got that type of tenacity that won't abandon the fight

Dead stare, steady hand, the battle may rage on

Lord, I’m asking for your guidance, I don’t want to be wrong

'Cause when I pull this trigger…you can say..."so long!"

To Be or Not To Be?

Now the beat of the drummer keeps a jam intact

but who's the source of your spirit that keeps your life on track?

What do I mean?

I'll make it clear so that you understand,

you've been given a choice

and the choice is up to you my friend.

To be or not to be?

That is the question.

Take a look at your life to find out who your professing

to be...your life's decree, your spiritual diety.

Jesus Christ is who it ought to be;

and if not, then get rid of your crutch.

What's a crutch?

Anything you lean on to make your life complete

becoming totally dependant like a drummer to the beat.

Alcohol, drugs, money, power, religion, and sex.

When the seed of abuse has been sown you reap the effects.

The list goes on and the poison you choose

becomes to you as bondage and you become the fool.

Thinking that your wise with no knowledge at all;

Only the knowledge of the Holy One is wisdom at all.

God's calling to the heart of every person.

Answer the call!

Acts 4:12
"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved."

2 Corinthians 6:2
for He says," AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU. "Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION"--

Romans 10:10
for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Shields Up!

First rule of warfare, man, you better declare

What side you stand on, war ain’t fair

Find out your enemy, study to you begin to see

All the schemes and strategies, cause you don’t wanna be

Convinced that this battle is real, if you allow to peal

The scales from your eyes…I’m gon keep it real

 Cause all the schemes and strategies always seem to be

The type that keeps the body of Christ breaking unity

People just wanna see, if it is reality

The Kingdom of God, manifested in you and me

Now…it’s…time…for…us…to…stop…playing…church

Attention, all of God’s warriors, report to the armory

Now grab a backpack of love, and a prayer grenade

No MRE’s needed, cause we’re going to fast today

Compassion packed tightly, these weapons just might be

The type that makes the world think we’re crazy

With the helmet of salvation, and the shield of faith

Our hearts trained in the Word, and we’re ready to slay

Every demonic principality that comes our way

With no fear, if we should die, todays’ a good day…

And we come in the Name of Jesus

^{EPHESIANS 12}For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Do You Know Who You Are?

I Am your Father, Faithful and True, that is My Name.
Do you know who you are?
I formed you in your mother's womb, I created you.
I have loved you with an everlasting Love.
All My delight is in you.  No greater Love has anyone ever known than that One would lay down his life for a friend.
I have called you a friend.  More than that, I have called you a son.
Precious and loved in My sight.  I Am faithful and true.
My love cannot be taken away.  Let your delight be in Me.
Call or ask of Me, and I will show you great and mighty things.
I will never leave or forsake you. There is no shadow of shifting.  I Am.
Do you know who you are?
You are loved greatly, you are forgiven much, you are free, you are holy unto the Lord, you are a Royal Preisthood, you are a Holy Nation, and you are... Mine.
You are not abandoned, you are not orphaned, you are not depised, and you are not forsaken.  You are made in My image.  You are My child.  Run after Me, I can be found by you.

In the Beginning

 

In the beginning was the Word.

And everything you think of, thought of, or ever heard

was never brought into existence until this very Word spoke,

then the whole universe awoke.

Everything began to teem with life.

The finite. The infinite.

 God created the stars, the sun, the moon, the day, and the night.

In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men,

but it was the blood that paved the way in and washed away sin.

All created out of Love of One who was born to die for men.

No greater Love has any man known,

no greater mercy has ever been shown

to a people so undeserving, yet, still desired to be known.

From beyond vast heavens to the depths of broken souls He sees us.

For, in the beginning, God so loved the world that He gave us His very best...Jesus. 

 Genesis 1:1-5   1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. 3Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5God called the light day, and the darkness He called night And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

John 3:16  16"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.



Awake O' Sleeper

Lord, how can it be, that my reality

Has become so distorted, I don’t know the real

me?  You told me long ago, and I definitely know

for sure, that if pride entered my heart, then sin

would stop the flow.  But no, I’m smarter than

that, work harder than that, to put up a good front,

but forgot to lock the back.  The enemy, looking to circumvent me, found the kink in

my armor and came in to befriend me.  And oh, he brought his crew, from me to you,

pride, rebellion, and greed…and lust too.  Suspicious, me, why? I never saw it.  My

mind polluted while time began to knaw at the inner man; the spirit was getting

weaker.  Like deep cover, the roots of sin were growing deeper.  Finding myself in a

litany of attacks the fire was growing dimmer, I couldn’t tell fiction from the facts.

I was seriously considering stepping over to the other side saying nothing was

wrong, I lied.  Led astray because I got caught sleeping in the enemy’s camp. 

Who in hell's been keeping my light's out, nights out, many at a time?

Awake and be watchful traveler, ease has a tendency to dull the heart and mind?

Ephesians 5:13-16 (NAS)

 ¹³But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that
    becomes visible is light.  ¹⁴For this reason it says, "Awake, sleeper, and arise from
    the dead, and Christ will shine on you."  ¹⁵Therefore be careful how you walk, not
    as unwise men but as wise, ¹⁶making the most of your time, because the days are
    evil.

Lord of the Rottweiler

Fear, I know what it's like, the mind's terrified by the
feelings of fright.  Panic attacked, the nerves can't react,
because your body's paralyzed by the courage you lack.
It's always really easy to see what you're really made of
when you got to stand in the face of the the things you're
afraid of.  For so long, I'd run and hide from the things
that would grip me with fear inside.  Anxiety would turn to depression, depression would turn to dread while the thoughts of my demise would dance in my head.  The longer I ran, the worse it got.  I thought I could out run it...not!  The funny thing is you see, the fear was in my mind, and I couldn't out run me.  Why am I much afraid? Christian, trust the Lord, and keep your mind stayed on the One who is known as the Rock.  He told me to "Fear not,"
but give Him all that I've got.  If fear is like a dog whose bark is a mock, then JESUS is the Lord of every dog on the block.

Isaiah 26:3-4 (NAS)  ³"The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he
      trusts in You.  ⁴"Trust in the LORD forever, For in GOD the LORD, we have an
      everlasting Rock.

Isaiah 41:10 (NAS)  ¹⁰'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for
       I am your God.  I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you
       with My righteous right hand.'

All That Glitters....

Ok, I don’t know what you planned for me

But I got a funny feelin’ it ain’t healthy

I got a package the other day, it said “From the enemy"

So, I thought for a moment, "Hmmm, what can it be?"

Innnnnccckk!  Wrong answer saint!

Don’t give the enemy the opportunity

'Cause you just might find, it just might be

The next worst thing to cable TV

Shipped overnight, express mail from hell

You ever wonder why the enemy knows you so well?

 Just what you want, shipped made to order

Packed neatly, taped at the corners

Delivered to your front door, convenience and ease

Temptations' goal is always to please

Sometimes it’s hard to tell the forest from the trees

When you sleep with dogs, you rise up with fleas

So I spend a lot of time defusing bombs on my knees

1 Peter 5:6-9 NIV

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

River Man

Dried up, parched and torrid

was my spirit, and I couldn't ignore it

I needed something that was deeper than me

'cause everything had run dry

and I needed to be

re hydrated, re-this-is-how-I-made-it

So, I ran to the river, the river was in the Man

Who spoke of rivers of living water

We call Him the River Man

Jesus...is this man...

the river flows, and yes, He can

bring life so you can live again.

All you gotta do is jump in the river man!

Shouldn't we look like Him?  That is in terms of our spiritual DNA.  Shouldn't we be those whom others can come and drink fresh water from?  Are you a stagnant pond or a life giving spring.  Sometimes I can be so dry from lack of spending time with the Father, and drinking from other springs that aren't life giving and never satisfy.   It's like this verse from Jeremiah. 

Jeremiah 2:13 NAS  "For My people have committed two evils : They have forsaken Me, The fountain of living waters, to hew for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water."

The Lord is our source, our provision, our strength...stated quite frankly; He's our everything.  He's the Lion and the Lamb, He's the Bread of Life, He's the Light of the World, and He's the First Born of many sons.  Sons who should have flowing out of them the sweet Spirit of the Lord. 

John 7:38 NAS  "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.' "

Let's jump deep into the River Man, and let the river, man, flow...so we can live again. 

Answer the Call

It's about the King, and I...
just want to make sure you know why
God can choose whoever He wants
To make sure He's glorified.
He chooses vessels for ministry
That many would see
And many would be offended
like Pharisees and Sadducees.
From the scrouge of society
to pomp priest preaching piety,
God chooses everything in between
and He has chosen me.
If He can use a donkey
Then I might as well say...
Heeeeees - Gawdddddd (He's God)
and call it a day.
On the third rock from the sun
it's amazing how one will run
all over the place seeking wisdom
and still...finding none.
There's only one Creator who created us all
can't you hear the phone ringing man?
Won't you answer the call?
